Can I import my own custom email templates?

Not seeing a version of email that closely matches your financial institution’s brand requirements? You can always create your own custom HTML email, which can then be imported into Core iQ. Our builder framework makes designing responsive emails easier, and we can assist you in testing your template across multiple devices and email clients.

Adding your own HTML file to create a custom email is simple. Just use the Design Your Own button in Core iQ and choose Email > Use Existing HTML/CSS From Another Source. Then follow the directions in the builder to input your HTML into our existing framework. These templates can be saved and reused, just like all of our stock Core iQ templates.

Be aware that edits to these templates will need to be done directly through the HTML/CSS for the file itself, as our template builder doesn't natively support the accurate editing of custom email files. You will need to make edits to the inline HTML and CSS either directly from the Source in Core iQ, or by pasting in updated code once your edits have been made.

We do suggest opening a Support Ticket and sending us a Request for Review shortly before/after creating the ticket. Inside the Support Ticket, please mention that you have a new HTML/CSS email and would like to view your Litmus results. We will provide you with images of your email in all major browsers and email clients, allowing you to go back to your agency partner with issues relating to layouts breaking or major malfunctions. Although we don't offer support in fixing issues with HTML/CSS files, this should give you enough information to have your Designer fix the related problems, if there are any.

Custom HTML emails do not support the PDF archival feature in Core iQ, so please be aware that we cannot keep PDF versions of sent emails in this manner. Also, be sure to add the [Email_Opt_Out_Verbiage] merge field into your template before sending, as it is what is used when Opt-Outs are enabled for a communication.
