Does a user have to reach the end of a survey for responses to be reported?

It's almost guaranteed that a percentage of your customers will start a Core iQ survey but will not finish it. You'll be happy to know that whatever amount of responses someone gives within a survey, they will be reported back to Core iQ. When someone receives one of your survey invitations, they will be given a link that connects their customer information (found behind your firewall), with their survey response data. Every time an individual submits a response to a question (by pressing the Next button), that response is sent back to Core iQ. If they just respond to the first two questions of your survey, you will still see that data reflected in your environment.

We highly recommend tracking drop-off rates on important surveys. If you see a high number of customers starting but not finishing a survey, you should take a look at where they are dropping off within your survey flow. Is the survey too long? Too confusing? Does it not seem relevant to your customers? These are all reasons that your drop-off rate can be high when it comes to survey responses.

You can calculate the drop-off rate by finding the difference between the number of responses you have to your first question and your last question (assuming they are required). Then put that difference over the number of responses to your first question. For example, if I had 200 people start my survey and only 50 people finish, my drop-off rate would be (200-50)/200 or 75%.
