If you are not currently sending a flag on your file for blocking communications to your customers/members under the age of 18, you can easily create this exclusion in Core iQ. This exclusion will remove any communication that is queued for an individual under the age of 18, but you can change that age to anything you might like. To start, you will need to head to the Report & Communications Exclusions area of the Admin menu. This is where you can create custom exclusions for a number of different reasons, which will remove people from reports and/or communications.
If you do not see an age restriction in the area already, click the 'Add New Exclusion' button. Then, in the Type of Entity to Exclude, you will want to change this choice to 'Customer is Under Age'. Next, you can choose to either scope this exclusion as relating to just reports, or communications, or both by using the Scope of the Exclusion toggle. Then, in the Value to Exclude field, put in '18'. Choose yourself as the Banker Requesting the Exclusion and click the Save button. After the next nightly import is run, those under the age of 18 will begin failing to receive communications from schedules, campaigns, and one-off marketing efforts.
It is important to remember that these exclusions will only take effect after the next import, and any changes to them after they are created will have the same delay.
