What are the different Core iQ Employee security permissions?

Admin vs Non-Admin

The biggest distinction that you can make between users within Core iQ is whether they are an Admin or a non-Admin. Administrators in Core iQ have access to a number of features that non-Admins do not have. These include:

  • The ability to add and edit Employee profiles
  • The ability to modify branch, region, and bank/core import settings
  • Access to the Services and Groupings area, which comprises all product groupings in the platform
  • The rights to create and modify custom fields for use throughout Core iQ as merge fields or filters
  • The ability to institute custom report and communications exclusions
  • Access to the Systems Diagnostics and Applications Metrics areas
  • Exclusive ability to modify, approve, or reject communications of a status of Pending Admin Approval
  • The rights to impersonate other employees and approve communications on their behalf
  • Ability to create and modify templates without additional permissions
  • Ability to create and modify audiences and schedules without additional permissions
  • Access to Outbound Communication Status area and Conversion Metrics screen

Full vs Limited vs No Access

In this section, you can modify the access that a user has to your Core Customer Information. By granting Full Access, you allow a user to see all Core Data relating to customers at your banking institution. This is recommended for higher level users and Administrators. By granting Limited Access, you allow a user to see only the Core Data that relates to their assigned customers. Most branch-level employees will only need Limited Access to Core Data, especially at larger banking institutions. By granting No Access, you revoke all access to Core Data for a user within Core iQ. The first two levels of access can be restricted further using the other toggles in this area, which revoke the ability to see information such as Dormant Account Balances, Employee Account Balances, and Director Account Balances.

Manages All Banks Represented

This setting is only used by our customers that have multiple organizations installed on a single instance of Core iQ. If you are a part of a multi-level organization like a Bancorp, then you may need to individually toggle this setting for certain employees if they need access to all institutions that are a part of your instance of Core iQ. If you only have one bank or credit union running in Core iQ, then you will not need to worry about this setting.

Other Security Settings Explained

These various settings allow for additional privileges for certain employees. These items include:

  • The ability to turn report results into campaigns. This essentially means that any person with this right enabled is able to pull a report and queue a campaign from those results in Core iQ. All other employees are only able to pull back report results on any enabled reports. Both of these options are still directly influenced by the Access setting described above.
  • The ability to queue and send one-off communications to customers directly from their Customer profile in Core iQ. Without this setting enabled, a user will not be able to see the 'Send Marketing Communication' button on a customer's profile.
  • The rights to edit templates, audiences, and/or schedules as a non-Admin. While this doesn't allow the employee to approve templates to be used in schedules or campaigns (that's the Compliance role), it does allow them to make template edits and mark templates as Inactive. Someone with the Compliance role will need to re-approve any templates that are edited in this manner. All edits to schedules and audiences will take effect immediately after they are made by an employee with this permission.
  • The rights to individually edit a customer/member's Contact Preferences directly from the Core iQ profile screen. This feature will allow the user to make edits to opt-in or opt-out individuals from certain communications in Core iQ.
  • The ability to work, refer, and view Opportunities in Core iQ. This is a separate module that you may or may not have installed in Core iQ. For additional information on this setting, please reach out to our support team.
  • The ability to view Outcomes Dashboards which include email and conversion data, as well as survey response data coming in from Core iQ templates.
  • Permissions to upload lists, delete lists, merge non-customer records, edit non-customer data, delete non-customers, and delete Opportunities.
