While an Excel file will include added formatting and functionality, a CSV will trim down the download time and ensure that you can actually get the results outside of the platform. Large Excel files will have a difficult time being downloaded from Core iQ, so if you are ever having difficulty with the platform timing out while downloading an Excel file, try switching to the more streamlined CSV.
