The Open Rate and Click-Thru Rate on all templates is calculated with the total number of opens and clicks. Since emails can be opened and clicked multiple times by a single recipient, the Open Rate and Click-Thru Rate can possibly be over 100% in cases where this occurs. If you have a small campaign, or your template has not been sent a lot, you may see a high percentage of Opens or Clicks to the number that were Delivered. You can always calculate a unique Open Rate or unique Click-Thru Rate using the unique Open metric or unique Click metric from the dashboard. These can be found by hovering over the inner/outer circles in the Open/Click graphs on the dashboard. The outer circle is your TOTAL opens/clicks, while the inner circle is your UNIQUE opens/clicks.
An extremely high number of opens can also be falsely inflated by certain email clients which can sometimes open an email multiple times as a user scrolls through their list of emails. It can also register as an open if they are opening the email multiple times to read and reply to messages sent back and forth originating from that first email.
