We do recommend some sort of backup method for Core iQ's servers. If you choose not to back up the database and something happens to your server, the following items would be just some of what is lost:
- Communication history from Core iQ
- Balance history that has built over time (used for trends and charts throughout Core iQ)
- All Admin-level information such as employee records, branch listings, service groupings, etc.
- Templates and audiences that were previously built
- Email and survey outcomes from prior communications
We highly recommend backing up the server in some manner, but the frequency and method for the backup should follow your existing IT internal protocols. In the event of a complete loss of this data, it would essentially be as if your institution was just joining Core iQ again. This would require a great deal of work for your team to rebuild lost templates and audiences, and would result in a total loss of all communications outcomes from our platform.
If you have additional questions regarding how best to set up a backup or what files/folders are required for backing up the server (in the event that you do not want to back up the whole server daily), please open a Support ticket to discuss this further with our team.
