Objective:
In this article, we will learn about the Survey Responses report and how you can use it to find particular sets of survey responses for the purpose of sending an actionable campaign. We will explore the following topics:
- When and why to use the Survey Responses report
- How to pull a Survey Responses report, and how to use it to send a follow-up campaign
What is the Survey Responses Report?
The Survey Responses report is the second survey-specific report that we have in Core iQ. It is used as a way to find particular sets of responses to a single survey question for the purposes of creating a follow-up campaign. The other survey-specific report, the Survey Outcomes report, allows you to see the entire list of survey responses that have come from a template. The Survey Responses report allows you to hone in on a single question and find mixtures of responses to that single question. This report is best used when attempting to find a particular set of data, such as those that responded to an NPS-like question and gave you a score of less than 7. Simply choose that question from the relevant drop-down and input the mixture of responses to pull, and Core iQ will output a list of those that are unhappy with your services or products. You can even turn the report directly into a campaign to queue emails or calls to those that have a particular response to a single survey question.
How do I use the Survey Responses report?
This report is very similar to many of the other Core iQ reports, so we will only highlight the differences between this report and other Core iQ reports. For this report, you will need to know about the following drop-downs:
- QUESTION
- This drop-down includes every question that has ever registered a response on any of your survey templates. This means that if you ever included the question on a template and received a response to it, then you will find that item here. The only question type that is not included within this drop-down is the textbox question type.
- CUSTOMER RESPONDED WITH ANY OF THE FOLLOWING
- This option will allow you to select a set of responses using an OR statement. Choosing three choices in this drop-down will mean that you are asking Core iQ to find those that responded with Option A OR Option B OR Option C. This is a great way to find those with at least one answer in common for checkbox questions, or those with various answers to radio group questions. In the case of our NPS-like question, we would want to input numerals 0 through 6 in this drop-down.
- CUSTOMER RESPONDED WITH ALL OF THE FOLLOWING
- This drop-down is similar to the one found above. However, in this case, we are using an AND statement. For checkbox questions, we can ask Core iQ to find those that responded with Option A AND Option B AND Option C. This is a fantastic choice for finding a very particular subset of customers in order to send a highly targeted campaign responding to their survey answers.
